JCIDEL meets the needs of the present without compromising the needs of future generations. JCIDEL has partnered with Italian manufacturers who’s practices aim to reduce the amount of energy, water and chemicals used during production, as well as reducing the amount of solid waste, wastewater, and air emissions.

The Italian leather tanneries are certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG) for its’ compliance with production of ecological quality leathers. The leathers are produced with the purpose to minimize their impact on the health and the environment during the production phase as well as in the recycling and disposal phases.

The certification of the leather products further protect the environment and the health of people thanks to a series of tangible benefits: lower consumption of water during the various production phases; use of raw materials produced in a sustainable fashion; sound use of resources during the production or disposal phases; absence of harmful effects on the health and the environment because of the low of emissions; easy to recycle.
