2015
Jeannie started selling her creations to family & friends before offering them in an online marketplace. However; she could not find more uniquely designed and high-quality fabrics to fit her vision.
2016
Jeannie B. Cidel, LLC dba JCIDEL was established in 2016 while Jeannie Cidel alongside her husband, Johnny Cidel, traveled to different places in search for unique and exclusive artwork. They sought out the finest materials and design concepts used by leaders in the handbag industry.
2019
Through countless hours of careful research, Jeannie & Johnny Cidel discovered creations of world-renowned artists: Roberto Alborghetti, Darryll Schiff and Fu Wenjun, whom they collaborated with to commission their artwork exclusively to infuse into modern designed handbags.
2020
The realization of the JCIDEL collection was made possible with the collaboration of international consulting designers. When Jeannie ventured on this journey, she wanted to design handbags that can only be described as “walking pieces of art”. Her vision was to create handbags that are unique, colorful, abstract, sexy, edgy, trendy, and elegant. It’s about a cultural experience of fine art and exquisite fashion coming together and not just the wearing of an accessory.
2021
Jeannie & Johnny Cidels’ travels and affinity for high-end fashion landed them in Italy, one of the world’s most recognized destinations for fine materials, exquisite fashion design, superb craftsmanship, and quality production.
2022
JCIDEL is officially launched with one-of-a-kind collection of Exclusive, Timeless, Posh walking art pieces. The brand concept brings together international artists and modern handbag designs to create a quintessential, unique and expressive handbag collection that contributes to change in trends in the fashion industry. The JCIDEL collection is for fashion lovers who seek to accent their wardrobe with bold, edgy and vibrant colors that inspires confidence, elegance, sophistication and radiance.
2022
NOTABLE COLLABORATION
JCIDEL was selected to participate in the 2022 Women of the NFL Conference (diverse wives of active and retired professional football players) where select handbags from the collection were showcased.
2023
JCIDEL makes international debut during London Fashion Week.
